Giuseppe Amadio
Umbrian painter, born in Todi in 1944, he is one of the most appreciated Italian artists of the twentieth century. He deals with art, but also alternates between different projects such as interior design, without forgetting his collaboration in the studio of Piero Dorazio. His works follow soft lines that furrow the canvas like footprints; time and space therefore coexist in these monochrome canvases. The technique used is certainly inspired by twentieth-century currents, but it is above all the result of personal research and experimentation; color, a fundamental element, constitutes the last step of the creative process and is applied using rubber-rubber-based resins and dyes, very elastic and suitable for conforming to the canvases.
