Giorgio Laveri

Born in Savona, he spent his childhood between Rome and his hometown. He approached the world of cinema at a young age. He began working at Cinecittà alongside great masters of cinema of the caliber of Tonino Guerra. In the seventies in Savona, he began to translate his cinematographic experience into the field of artistic experimentation and plastics. Thus began his association with sculpture, ceramics and therefore with the nearby factories of Albisola. In 1975 he attended ceramics school and after a training period he began to move into the varied ceramic universe. The artist deals with the complex and deep-rooted relationship between art and tradition. In particular in the Mazzotti and Pastorino factories, in the Ernan Design Studio in Albisola Superiore and at the end of the nineties also in the San Giorgio factory in Albissola Marina.
